Khalid’s Desi has been awarded a certificate of excellence by review website Trip Advisor.

Nabeel Khalid, manager of the Kashmiri restaurant in Low Mill Lane, said he was delighted and proud to receive the recognition.

“What makes this special is that it’s based on our own customers’ feedback,” said the 21-year-old.

“Last year we won the Keighley News Restaurant of the Year title, so to follow that up with this award in just our second year is really pleasing.”

The restaurant trade runs in Mr Khalid’s family and he has helped out since his school days.

“Before opening in Keighley I worked with my uncle at Aagrah but when I was younger I would do bits in the restaurant,” he said.
